Firefox to reach 1 billion downloads

Firefox first started in 2004 as an open-source progam and it has been granted with success since then, as of five years later it has been downloaded for a billion times and it’s total marketshare is about 31% making it the second most-used browser in the world. (First is the old dinosaur, Internet Explorer which owns approximately 60% of the market.) PS! The marketshares of Opera, Safari, Chrome are all below 5%!
However Firefox’s popularity is probably going to grow even further as the Mozilla team is constantly working on improving the browser. As of August 2009 FF 3.5.1 has been released but we’ve already got a glimpse on the 4.0 version, here it is.
