MacRumours Hacked While Broadcasting Apple Keynote From Macworld
By stormy at 6 January, 2009, 7:45 pm
MacRumours was publishing a live feed of Phil Schillers Apple Keynote At Macworld when they got hacked by a group that identifies themselves as “hackers on steroids from ebaumsworld.”
The group’s previous targets have been highly popular sites like Myspace and Fox News so it’s no wonder they managed to get their hands onto Mac Rumours’ website.
The Hackers On Steroids posted fake and misleading messages such as “Steve Jobs just died” and also numerous links to http://m.atthew.net.
The Mac Rumours Live website is currently down and it looks like this is also their work.
Stay tuned for more updates.
