First Working iPhone 3G Unlock Finally Released!

The release of yellown0w, scheduled for New Year’s Eve, was postponed a day due to a small problem and finally, it has been released into the wild.
Yellowsn0w is the first working iPhone 3G unlock program that doesn’t need any tampering with your SIM card. In fact, you won’t notice any difference in your iPhone’s operation, except of course that your 3rd-party SIM now works after installing.
Yellowsn0w can be installed using both Windows and Mac systems, and easily uninstalled using Cydia, iTunes or the good old Command Line.
An earlier update on Dev Team’s blog warned users to avoid updating their iPhones as yellowsn0w would only work with baseband 2.11.07 or earlier. This has been fixed and the latest baseband should work as well, so update away.
Yellowsn0w does have a slight problem… Every time you restart your phone, you need to remove the SIM card, put it back and restart again. [Here's how] Dev Team has has promised to fix this in the near future.
So unlock your phones and away you go! (At your own risk, of course…)
