Apple History #3: The First iMac

One of the very first Apple products to get a large update in the late 90s was the Macintosh. Featuring an all-new design unlike anything Apple had ever produced before (including the unusable mouse), its new incarnation, the iMac, went on to become the company’s most popular product in many years.
The original version was sold in only one color( Bondi Blue, later to be complemented by many others, such as Flower Power…) and had a 233Mhz processor, 32 MB of RAM and a whole 4 GB of hard drive capacity. While the specifications may seem slow by today’s standards, the iMac was actually quite fast at the time. This, and the relatively low price of $1299 contributed to the success of the computer.
