microsoft seadragonMicrosoft has now joined the long list of iPhone developers, and the first app in line is Seadragon, a photo viewing assistant that has been available for desktop users for some time already.

The aim of Seadragon is to let you view REALLY big images (gigapixel size) without the phone slowing down too much. It may be useful for people who aren’t happy with the built-in photo viewer that comes with the iPhone. Mainly intended for big maps and diagrams, it can also be used for other kinds of photo files, although they usually aren’t as large.

Seadragon is free to download in the App Store.
